Teaching

Media technology changes our perception and the world we live in. After a phase of "visual mainstream culture" the auditory field is now becoming ever more the focus of media-design. Through tuition we aim to pass on skills and knowledge on this subject, be it in a classical teaching context or via compact workshops. With a wealth of experience in active teaching and the conception of tutorial programs we would hope to make our contribution to the quality of sound design. It is not just about explaining techniques and processes, but rather we are also concerned with a sensitizing of sound-perception as shapable matter and ever-present element of our daily lives. Furthermore, we concentrate on contexts in which sounds are formed or simply present as part of the experiential world and impart methods and tools for the capture and analysis of these. Both classical and innovative techniques in sound design are taught as well as their integration in complex multi-media productions.
